ADHD Screening for Adults

I use QbCheck to measure the symptoms associated with ADHD. This is a simple, streamline process developed by QbTech and based on their FDA-approved device called QbTest. The assessment takes only sixty minutes, gives immediate results, and costs $400.

Think of your head as an unsafe neighborhood; don’t go there alone.

It can differentiate the symptoms of ADHD from those of anxiety, which often look like ADHD. This is important because the medicines prescribed for ADHD often make anxiety worse. The QbCheck assessment can help determine whether you have ADHD, anxiety, or both. Having an object assessment will help your primary care physician or psychiatrist determine the best course of medication for your symptoms.

A note about insurance: if you’ve been referred by your primary care physician, you have a medical reason for getting this screening, and insurance will sometimes cover a portion of the fee. You should call the number on the back of your insurance card to inquire what their reimbursement rate is for the screening. Simply tell them you have been referred by your physician to get neuropsychological testing from an “out of network” psychologist and ask them what their reimbursement rate will be. Payment is made at the time of the service by check or cash.
